WRITING ABOUT MARSHMALLOWS

Today we used our senses to write about marshmallows. We talked about how they looked and felt. We were trying to use some good describing words. Here are our stories.

The marshmallow was tasty.  It was pink and sweet.

HEART OF ACHIEVEMENT

This is a special award that only gets given out twice a term.  When you receive a Heart of Achievement you get to move your name into the big heart on the office wall.  Once you have got the award five times you go shopping with Mrs Warren.

Well done to Samuel for getting the Heart of Achievement today.

SWIMMING

We had our first day at Aquagym today.  The instructors put us into groups so we are all ready for tomorrow.  We were fantastic at getting changed too.  Here is a slideshow of our first lesson.

Congratulations to Jeshaiah who received a sticker for reading 50 books.  Keep up the fantastic reading everyone.

Well done to Amelia for receiving a certificate.  She is fantastic at helping to do lots of different jobs around the classroom.

Biscuit Art

Today we decided to do some biscuit art. We used different coloured icing sugar and decorated the biscuits with lollies and sprinkles. Here is a slideshow of our work. PS. They were delicious!

We are learning a variety of skills every Thursday. Today we learned about finding space while moving around. We also changed the type of movement we were doing from jumping, side stepping and running forwards and backwards. We had to throw a bean bag to a buddy but first we had to shout out their name to make sure they were ready to catch it. Here is a slideshow.

FUNDAY FRIDAY

On a Friday we have developmental.  During this time we get involved in lots of activities set up by the teachers.  Today we played with blocks, we did some drawing, played with connectors and used the laptops.  Check out these pics.

STATISTICS

Our maths topic is statistics.  We talked about what that meant and how we could display our information.  We looked at our eye colour and made a pictograph.  We found out 7 people have blue eyes, 4 people have green eyes and 4 people have brown eyes.  Here is our pictograph.
